Bug Description

Binary package hint: acpi

This is very odd.
My battery is not new, and it shows a little:

$ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/info
present: yes
design capacity: 63000 mWh
last full capacity: 38390 mWh
battery technology: rechargeable
design voltage: 11250 mV
design capacity warning: 3150 mWh
design capacity low: 630 mWh
cycle count: 0
capacity granularity 1: 1 mWh
capacity granularity 2: 1 mWh
model number: 42T4815
serial number: 3179
battery type: LION
OEM info: LGC 11

But it's not as bad as it *could* be.
BUT...
Look at this:

cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state
present: yes
capacity state: ok
charging state: charged
present rate: 0 mW
remaining capacity: 260 mWh
present voltage: 11289 mV

Err... 260mWh and *charged*?

The problem is that it won't charge, no matter what I do with it.

This started happening after upgrading to Ubuntu 11.4.

What can I do?

If it matters, it's a Lenovo Thinkpad. Battery is bout 1 year old.

Bye,

Mrc.

Hi,

Update: after a while, for no apparent reason, the status changed and the battery started recharging...!
