Bug Description

Situation: For one or another reason, some episode of a podcast was downloaded incorrectly. There was a file on the sd card with the correct file name, but without content. (Its size was 0)

When I then navigated to this episode, pony crashed after an IOException in PodcastPlayer.Java:294. I manually removed the corrupt sound file from the SD-card, but the problem still existed.

What I probably should have done to work around it, was downloading the sound file from the website, and put it in the correct place on the SD card. I didn't, I just cleaned all user data, which worked as well, obviously.

What I would expect, was Pony offering to redownload the corrupt sound file. (I forgot to mention, sorry.)

Thanks for the report.

Pony can already re-download a file. Long-pressing on a downloaded episode gives an option to re-download, but I guess this function is a bit hidden, which should be improved. Additionally, it would be an improvement if Pony caught the IOException when trying to play a corrupt file and an offered to re-download as you suggested. I'll work on it.

That's great, I wasn't aware of this feature.

Fix committed in revision 626ef8c on gitorious. Pony should no longer crash when encountering a corrupt file, but should alert the user with a notification to re-download the file using a long press on the episode name.
