Bug Description
I had been using the nvidia 3D experimental driver for a while, and with it I was able to utilize the graphic card acceleration. However, recently I noticed that that driver was causing my computer not to properly go into suspend mode. If I close the lid or if I press the suspend button, the fan would start spinning at 100%, the Ubuntu startup logo would appear on the screen, and the computer would become unusable. Then I am forced to press the power button.
(I think this problem also occurs when there isn't any additional driver installed, but I am not certain about that on this version (11.04) of Ubuntu. )
I installed the proprietary nvidia driver and now I am properly able to go into suspend mode.

Ali Shtarbanov, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http:// cdimage. ubuntu. com/daily- live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications- >Accessories- >Terminal) , as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:
apport-collect -p xserver- xorg-video- nouveau REPLACE- WITH-BUG- NUMBER
Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful.
Thank you for your understanding.
