Ubuntu 11.04

After a while working the unity dock is fixed and doesn't disappear. I didn't do anything rare, just coding under netbeans, using firefox 4, etc..

Screenshot attached.
Thanks.

Closing all windows (closing some of those apps) it works again, I hope this helps.

I confirm this, I'm not able to reproduce systematically, but sometimes the launcher gets stuck. I have it to autohide, and from time to time it gets stuck and does not hide any more. I notice this has happened with Firefox 4 maximized, and also with LibreOffice Calc maximized.

Same problem, and that happens quite often (~4 times per day) that is very unpleasant (I can't see the whole window and need to resize it)

Also affected here, just installed natty 11.04 64bit and noticed this bug happened almost right away on firefox 5.
I also noticed the dock does not span the whole height of my external monitor, only the hight of my laptop lcd which has a lower resolution.
Using nvidia drivers that came from ubuntu, on a twinview cloned external monitor.

I can confirm this, but I use Opera. To resolve, I had to restart Ubuntu!

It gets stuck only when i have netbeans open. I have to close netbeans before it will hide again.

Could you install Unity from this ppa
launchpad.net/~om26er/+archive/test/ and report if that changes
anything for you?

[Apologies for the duplicate post to those who receive two of these; I posted to the wrong bug report.]

Just happened to me as well, for all four viewports (i.e., dock stuck on all four of them, for all windows). First time it's happened to me. Ubuntu 11.04 x64. No pending updates at the time of the problem.

Logging off and back on seemed to have fixed the problem, at least for the last few minutes. After logging out, I did switch to console 1 to see if I had any other processes running. Two pulseaudio procs, which I've observed is normal and I left those alone. One evolution process, something to do with the calendar factory. I killed that one before logging back in, as I don't use evolution. Probably unrelated, but I figured I mention it as I've only rarely noticed that calendar factory proc running in the past.

I'm also affected by this bug (11.04 amd64).

It only happens when I'm using Clementine (Music Player) and add a track by dragging it from the music-library to the playlist. Clementine doesn't even have to be maximized! As soon as i start dragging, the Dock becomes visible and gets stuck.

When I close Clementine, everything is back to normal again.
