[launcher] Freezes when launching applications

Bug Description
The Launcher freezes so I cannot access programs. At one point, XChat froze along and I had to restart. When it freezes in the moment of me launching an App, the app icon is moving upwards and is revealing the black layer of the Launcher. It stays frozen at that spot.
