Bug Description

Binary package hint: upstart

(sorry if this is wrongly assigned)

Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) Herd 1. Live CD boot.
System specs: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/HP_Pavilion_DV8220EA
The system includes an Nvidia graphics card.

During boot I get the message:

lookup_group: specified group 'nvram' unknown

This may be the cause of bug: #5801 for me, which sets the screen resolution wrong.

I can confirm this bug for my fresh Herd 4 installation. I'm using a NVIDIA Geforce 5200 and a Samsung Syncmaster 191T 19" TFT and also get a wrong resolution (1024x768 rather than the correct 1280x1024).
