Bug Description

I configure the power manager in order to save energy so the screen shuts down after a while. When I try to wake it up, it turns on but all the system is frozen (except for the coursor that has movment but can't click anything). This only happens with Natty (no problem whith Lucid).

To get the debugging information from g-p-m, execute the following command:

killall gnome-power-manager && gnome-power-manager --verbose 2>&1 | tee ~/gpm.log

This kills gnome-power-manager and re-executes it in verbose mode, saving the log file gpm.log to your home directory. Please attach this file to the report,using the button below 'Add attachment or patch'.
Thanks

thank you Fabio.
After the test, I realized that the bug looks to happen only when the machine is running with battery (I am not sure about this, but at least it is what it happens this time).

Here is the file that you ask for.

Best,
DM

I am not sure if I understand what I should do. Do I have to reproduce again the bug and then reboot and attach the files that you are asking for? Do I have to do it normaly or in verbose mode? Could you explain me step by step what I have to do?

thanks

I have to say that the bug does not occured when the laptop is plugged to the AC. When it is running whith batteries it happens but only when I configure the gnome-power-manager to turn off the screen after 10 min. If I configure it to 5 minutes it works fine (i do not know why, or if it was just a coincidence)

thanks
DM

correction, the bug happens always, even when the laptop is connected to the AC and with any minutes' configuration (how mysterious!)
