Bug Description

Binary package hint: git

This is a really trivial fix to add a .desktop file to the git-gui package like so:

summary: - Missing git-gui start menu entry
+ git-gui missing .desktop file

FYI—I just realized from the above mentioned file that one can simply run "git gui" instead of having to remember the full path /usr/lib/git-core/git-gui as I had been doing. This eliminates the need for a GUI shortcut for me, but it would probably still be helpful to others.
