Bug Description
Binary package hint: vlc
When playing a DVD in vlc if I right click on the screen the menus are immediately drawn over by the playing DVD. If I move my mouse over the menu (which I cannot see) then as each item is highlighted it becomes briefly visible before being again drawn over by the next frame of the playing DVD. It is as though the Menu and the DVD are being drawn at the same z-order.
Using Ubuntu 11.04, default desktop, desktop effects are turned off.

Does this also happen if VLC is started as vlc --no-embedded- video? Are you using the normal Qt interface or the skin engine?
