Window positioning is off

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kopete

Kopete remembers the position of the main window. When I put the main window all the way against the right side of my screen, close Kopete, and start it again, it's position is somewhat off (by one pixel to the left, I'd guess).

I cannot reproduce this bug. Using Kubuntu 6.10, KDE 3.5.6

This looks similar to a KDE bug filed last year but has already been closed.

Does this behavior always happen? Do you have any panels or desktop items that might be affecting this behavior?

Changed in kopete:
status: Unconfirmed → Needs Info

No, since a few weeks I cannot always reproduce this positioning problem (also Kubuntu 6.10) and I also don't have any panels or otherwise possibly interfering window items running that would or could confuse Kopete. It's strange, because this would indicate that part of the problem has already been solved.

However, it's not gone. I will try to create a guide to reproduce the problem.

The problem is still here, but I can't determine any reproducing steps. All I can say is that it happens most when I just started my KDE session, later on it doesn't seem to cause much trouble.
