GDM makes console jump to X on upgrades.

if a user is upgrading on console, and he is not logged in on X, gdm will
restart and switch from console to X. This behaviour is really really annoying,
specially because the console buffer is lost.

- start the box
- switch to a real console
- login and upgrade gdm ("apt-get install --reinstall gdm" is enough to
get the bug)
=> the screen is switched to gdm

This can be annoying because the console switch break the scrolling in
the real console, so it could be better to stay on the console.
