Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

Release: 11.04 (upgraded from 10.10)
Package: nautilus
Package Version: 1:2.32.2.1-0ubuntu13

I've seen this issue now on 2 different machines that I have upgraded to 11.04. After initially logging in to my account in "Ubuntu classic", Nautilus does not respond to any events until I kill it (and it automatically restarts). I cannot open any of the file manager "Places", nor are any of the desktop icons responsive. It does seem to work fine if I manually kill it, and let it automatically restart. As far as I can tell so far, this only seems to happen on initial login startup.

I did some testing of things and found that this was being caused by the "desklets" I had starting up. I stopped the daemon for that and now nautilus works without issue.

Hi,

You may want to raise a bug against that software (I'm not sure if it's part of Ubuntu). I'm closing this bug as it doesn't seem to be an issue with Nautilus.
