Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

I am using Ubuntu 11.04 - the Natty Narwhal and fully up to date.
Evolution Evolution 2.32.2
:~$ apt-cache policy pkgname
N: Unable to locate package pkgname

I upgraded from Ubuntu 10.10 to 11.04 on 3 machines (4 more to go). I expected that when I went in to Evolution, contacts that the Google accounts would be there and they would show all my contacts.

WHat Happened Instead:
When I got in to Evolution, my eMail and Calendar accounts were there and they worked fine. In Contacts the Contact accounts were still there and all the account info, BUT the accounts would not sync and were empty. I could not send eMails, Set calendar items and I have no access to my on-line contacts.

I tried deleting the accounts and re installing them but I get the same problem. And a message that states it can not authenticate.

I am not new to Ubuntu/Evolution/Google and had the systems up and running well before, it only occured AFTER the upgrade to 11.04 and is the same on all 3 machines.

There is NO Question the two are very similar and I am sure related.
I do not think it is number of contacts related. I have a number of accounts on a number of machines that I sync, including my wife's and she has only a few contacts and that won't sync either.

I think there is something missing in the build for 11:04/Evolution and it just won't sync. I noticed that it shows up in my log report generated by the "Report Bug" tool, which is good. It has worked in all my builds up to now (from 8:04)...

Have you managed to get anywhere/response from developers as yet? This is beginning to cause me problems as I use this for my work and as a sole trader has a high impact.

I have no issues with 20 contacts (I created a temporary addressbook with contacts I use many times per day). In the earlier reported bug 755043, there is a link to upstream at gnome.

On your observation that a few do not sync also, how many are in your wife's addressbok? Does she have more than one addressbook configured?

About 20 max... I am surprised this bug is not being investigated.

In addition, Calendar does not work properly either. It will not sync reliably. The accounts I had registered/created would not sync. I went in to properties and "Retrieve" list, add password and normally it starts working. Sometimes I have to recreate the account.

This occurs on all 3 machines.
