Run-away IMAP processes

Bug Description

When an IMAP session creation is forcibly exited, by C-g for example, sometimes the processes are left to lie around. Sometimes, these processes run in the background and consume resources.

The code in vm-imap-make-session is confusing. It sets a flag called shutdown to indicate that the process should be cleaned up. But it is hard to see the rationale for the way it is being set.

POP processes likely have the same issues as well.

Gosh, it looks like it is sitting on my home machine and hasn't been uploaded. I will do so over the weekend, but the revision number will change.
