Bug Description

Binary package hint: eog

Eye of GNOME 2.32.1 in Ubuntu 11.04/Gnome shows wrong GPS positions in the OSM map. All of my geocoded images are misplaced by an offset of about 50km to the southwest. Geeqie displays the maps correctly. EOG in Ubuntu 10.10 did not have that error, too.

In EOG 3.2.0 (Ubuntu 11.10, Oneiric) the bug cannot be reproduced. Reason: The sidebar is now totally disabled. The menu "Ansicht – Seitenleiste, Strg-F9" in the german version, which probably reads "view – sidebar, Ctrl-F9" in the english version is greyed out.

In EOG 3.2.0 (Ubuntu 11.10, Oneiric) the bug does not exist anymore. The side pane now shows the correct location.

Comment #2 can be ignored. The side pane was greyed out because the packet eog-plugins was not installed #-)
