Bug Description

Binary package hint: xkeyboard-config

When assigning a keyboard shortcut in GNOME, using the Windows key as a bucky bit (set by the "Super is mapped to the Win-keys" option), feisty produces the shortcut "<Mod4><Hyper>KEY" -- where dapper produced just "<Mod4>KEY"

I've noticed this this is pretty specific to the GNOME Keyboard Shortcuts preferences dialog -- most other things seem to show <Super> instead

Do you still have this problem? On intrepid it shows <Mod4> for me.

On Intrepid, it displays "Super".

But it ONLY displays "Super", it sets the shortcut to the Super key itself - and doesn't use it as a modifier (I wanted Super+KEY)

I have this bug as well in Ubuntu 8.10 x64. I wanted to setup some keyboard shortcuts for volume up, down, & mute.

In the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog (System -> Preferences -> Keyboard Shortcuts), if I attempt to assign Super + PageUp as a shortcut, it just assigns it to "Super L".

So, while I can use the left and right Super keys, and the Menu key for volume up, down, and mute, I can't use them as modifiers, which would be more useful.
