0.87.3 has the same problem.

I tried to use: ppa:shutter/ppa & ppa:shutter-testing-team/dailybuilds

PS: Is it right, that after succesfull installation of 0.87.3~ppa3~oneiric1 or 0.88~ppa1~dailybuild+r1138+p83+201111040418~oneiric1_all, the Help->About window shows version 0.87.2?

Is it possible that there already is an instance of Shutter running (the old version)? Please make sure to kill all running instances. Then add the repo (stable is fine, I don't recommend to use the daily-build) and do:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install shutter
