Please backport texmaker 3.0.2-2 to natty. It builds without modification [1] and works.

Sure about "Fix Release"? I get:

 texmaker : Depends: texmaker-data (= 3.0.2-2~natty1) but 2.2.1-1ubuntu1 is to be installed

Is still still getting built or did you forget that one?

the DEB package from Texmaker website doesn't need the texmaker-data package to work, and all the icons and documentation are working properly, maybe the dependency on texmaker-data should be dropped?

Since Ubuntu is currently getting this package unmodified from Debian, that's probably the best place to ask this question.

Ok, works now, apperently it took a bit longer to upload texmaker-data to the backports?

Ha, the reason was to the new low priority of 100 for backports repo in Natty, a bit of apt pinning magic and it works ;)
