... firefox crashed when opening a tab that caused a number of fd:// errors popping up

the url was: http://scienceblogs.com/cognitivedaily/2007/01/why_do_you_look_where_you_look.php

but on restoring the session it worked fine (apart from the fd:// errors)

Thank you for the bug report. Could you please install the firefox-dbg package and try to obtain a backtrace (or crash report) by following the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem

freddy, we already have a crash report here that we can process. Add the retrace tag instead of asking to redo with -dbg installed.
