Evolution shows no blue envelope when receiving mails

When I receive emails the envelope in the notification applet should turn blue and show a notification bubble. The bubble should fade out after a given time, the envelope should stay blue. So the notification bubble pops up, but the envelope never turns blue upon receipt of an email, no matter how I configure evolution.

Additionally new mails aren't displayed in the inbox field inside the menu - when new emails arrive there should be a figure next to the specific inbox.
