Bug Description

To gtk.gdk.threads_enter() or not to gtk.gdk.threads_enter()???

One case breaks some error messages, the other breaks Tap startup.

Fixed in r267

WARNING: Showing the error window from within an exception handler (except:), must be wrapped into gtk.gdk.threads_enter()/leave(). If it is called from within the main gtk thread that is not needed.
