Locking screen immediately spawns unlock dialog

Bug Description
When locking the screen by using the appropriate option in the Session Menu, the screen goes blank and the unlock dialog is immediately spawned instead of just blanking the screen. Until just yesterday, this worked as expected, so I guess one of the latest updates might have introduced this.
Btw, I am not sure if this is a Session Menu issue, or rather one of the screensaver... I can't remember whether there were Session Menu updates today, but this might also be side effect of some other update.
Ubuntu 11.04, AMD Radeon 4350 card, radeon driver, Unity active. FYI.
