Bug Description

kdesudo (3.4.2.2) in Kubuntu 11.04/natty does not remember the password during the 15 minute period as it should do.
This happens on a fresh installation and on an upgraded system.
The same version of kdesudo (3.4.2.2) on a Kubuntu 10.10/maverick system works as expected.
sudo remembers the password on all systems, too.

This is very anoying... I use kdesudo with kdevelop to install programs very frequently.

I cannot use sudo because kdevelop calls it without a tty and kdesu does not exists in kubuntu.

Well, I looked briefly into this, but did not find the root of evil, must be improved security though. At any rate I am next to clueless what to do about it, for the time being you can either switch to kdesu (using kalternatives or update-alternatives) or you install gksudo, which allegedly still works.

There is a workaround, which I use for some weeks now: Add !tty_tickets to the Defaults-Option in your /etc/sudoers file.
On my Kubuntu 11.04 the full line looks like this now:
Defaults !tty_tickets,env_reset,timestamp_timeout=15
