So MySQL was stopped in the middle of the upgrade. Not sure what the upgrade scripts can do about this. To fix up, run this as root:
/usr/sbin/ rt-setup- database- 3.8 --action insert --datafile /usr/share/ request- tracker3. 8/etc/upgrade/ 3.8.9/content --skip-create
Note: you seem to have dbconfig-common configured thinking that your database is sqlite, where it's actually configured with MySQL. This will break things horribly. Either configure RT to use MySQL via dbconfig-common (dpkg-reconfigure request- tracker3. 8), or don't use dbconfig at all (also through dpkg-reconfigure request- tracker3. 8). It wouldn't have mattered in some cases, but you may find this will cause breakage in the future otherwise.
