Bug Description
I run two separate NVidia video cards and 4 monitors all running on separate X screens under Natty. Prior to this the exact same setup was running on Maverick without showing this behaviour. I used to open up a shutter session on each monitor and it would stay there and run independently of the other running shutters on other X screens. What happens now is that if I execute shutter when it is already open it simply activate the already running copy, even if it's on another screen. This makes it impossible to capture from an monitor if it's already running on another screen without first closing the running copy.

That's correct. Maybe we should allow to open a new instance explicitly (e.g. like eog --new-instance).
