Thanks for responding promptly.
I had created this file in OpenOffice and modified after moving to
LibreOffice. OpenOffice was great in this regard. Note the spaces in
between letters and the square boxes which replaces the quotation marks
inserted by US English Keyboard.

I think I have found the solution to this problem. Simply change the CTL
fonts in the options and everything will be okay!
