Person page has no option for instant messaging protocols other than IRC/Jabber

Bug Description

The summary should say enough. I noticed the problem on https://launchpad.net/people/thumper where the person has had to force his MSN/Yahoo details into the "IRC" section. A generic section for instant messaging would work better.

This might be a policy decision, promoting open protocols rather than closed ones.

It occurred to me, yes. However, I disagree with the policy, because people still use these protocols, and thumper obviously felt the need to allow people to get in touch with him that way. Maybe there is a way to use the UI to promote Jabber :)

Anyway, Launchpad can't get on its high horse about open protocols!
