Bug Description

First of: It's more a feature request than a bug report, so I don't know if I'm right here, but by habit I double-clicked the title bar in the Gnome shell to maximize a window and double clicked it again to reset it to the original size. In Unity I do the same to maximize a window, but since there is no title bar to click on I do not have that option to reset it. In my opinion this is inconsequential, so my proposal is, to apply this functionality to the part of the "blank" part of the menu bar, where there are no menu points.

Thanks.

I think that this is a regression. If I'm not wrong, this was working a time ago, when natty was in alpha or beta.

In my system I can't neither restore draggin the title bar to down, nor double-clicking it (I can only restore clicking on unmaximize button in panel).

It should work, it works for me, double click into the empty area of the top panel. However:

Second problem: it restores the window size but at the wrong position/geometry, often partially off-screen.
Can anyone confirm? This should have its own bug report.

After I logged in it was working for my first window (gnome-terminal) then I open firefox and it got bugged. Then I relog and it's working fine after I opened a terminal again and then opened and closed firefox a few times. Seems kind of random.

I'm seeing this too: on my Oneiric machine, a double click on a maximized window's title bar does nothing. It should unmaximize the window.

Adam do you have banshee running in the background, minimized to the sound menu?
