Bug Description
I have Ubuntu 11.04. Everything works perfectly as long as I have the laptop plugged in. When I unplug it, everything but the mouse stops responding. I can move the cursor, but nothing responds to clicks or the keyboard. When I boot it up on battery power, I can get to the login screen. When I log on, all I can do is look at the pretty background picture and move the mouse. There is no interface that actually shows up, no matter how long I wait. It does this regardless of whether I use Ubuntu or Ubuntu Classic, or any of the other options on the log-in menu.
