top panel disappears after tweaking compiz settings

Bug Description
After tweaking some compiz settings in "Ubuntu Unity PLugin" the top panel disappears,
but still continues to response to clicks.
To reproduce it seems enough to disable plugin and reenable it again.
Panel shows shortly during desktop switching using "Wall" plugin.
But rest of time it shows only shadow and sometimes piece of crap like a part of image of some recent window.

i have had a similar thing happen, it only happens for me when i switch on wobbly windows ( which disables snappy windows ) . the top panel immediately goes black but still allows me to click and see the menus. any thoughts launchpad?
