Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Sometimes the icons in the systray don't show a menu when clicked. Most often it's the battery icon, but sometimes the other icons as well. The only one that always works is the logout/power menu. Usually what happens is, if an application icon is present in the systray to the left of the battery icon, the battery icon becomes unresponsive when clicked. This is true for both right and left clicks. Since the battery icon is the left-most (at least in my tray, the icons to the left of it are the non-system ones, eg Skype, Truecrypt. If I select to hide the battery icon, then it's the network icon that becomes unresponsive, and the volume icon only works if clicked in the far right side. A work around is to click another icon and then hover over to the one I want or use the arrow keys. Again, I only experience this for the third-party icons. Also, it seems to get worse after suspending, but I'm not sure about that.

To clarify, this always occurs when a third-party icon is present on the left end of the systray, but which system icons are effected varies. The system icon to the right of the third-party icon is always effected. The third party icons don't effect each other.
