Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

When the you summon the dash (pressing the super key or clicking on the Ubuntu logo, it moves a bit to the left and down, see the screenshot. I'm not sure if this is intentional, but maybe there is a better way to indicate the 'clicked' state?

Yes, this is by design. Marking unity task as incomplete until we get design feedback.

Any idea to better represent the pressed state?

Maybe just the change in background, or a glow around the logo? It looks a bit out of place in my opinion, we don't represent the pressed state this way in any other places. With the indicators we just change the background for example. But we'll have to await the design team to see what they decide :)

I think the question here is themes (see bug #748676). With (Rad|Amb)iance, draw the panel background upside down is enough to represent the pressed state.

At moment, when using other themes, a dark overlay is drawn in home button. This is not much noticable with dark themes. The move of ubuntu logo makes it more visible.

I think the glow around the logo will not be too much visible too when using brighter themes.

Let's wait for design feedback anyway.

Another possible idea would be to spin the logo when it's pressed. Or perhaps to invert the colors? Design will probably have a better idea :)
