Unetbootin won't boot on Windows 7

Bug Description

I'm using Windows 7 (64 bit). I used the latest Unetbootin 549 to test Ubuntu 11.04 on my ASUS laptop (G53JW-SX029V). The installation with 800mb persistence works fine and then I choose to reboot.

At first Ubuntu seems to boot normally as I'm greeted with the splash screen, but then the screen freezes and see my windows 7 desktop (the wallpaper in blocks). It seems that this an upstream issue of one of the components Unetbootin uses together with Ubuntu/Windows 7: ISOLinux, syslinux or autorun. I have the same problems with Wubi, LiLi and UUI (pendrivelinu). These problems counts by the 0way for all Ubuntu versions, variants and remixes. Other Linux distros like Fedora or Sabayan work fine for me.

Can you help me solve this or find a way to solve this upstream?

This problem maybe related to upstart as init or systemd based distrobutions give me no problems starting from an usb stick
