Hello Nina Singh,

"hotel" is part of the extra-addons, which are maintained by the community, including all the modules created by "OpenERP" or "Tiny", as none of these are actively developed by our teams anymore.

So if you or anyone from the community would like to work on it, please mark the bug as "In progress" and assign it to yourself (or ask us or anyone from OpenERP Drivers to do it for you). In the mean time, I will mark it as "Won't fix" to indicate that no further progress is expected at the moment.

I hope you understand, and perhaps this explanation will be helpful to you if you start fixing this extra-addon...

Thank you!

Changed in openobject-addons:
status: New → Won't Fix

That's not an error, that's a pdf! *Where* do you see this text? in an error
dialog?

Hmmm
so if it isnt and error, what do we call it? Any suggestions on how to get openerp to give the expected output. I have the same issue. All other pdf reports open fine.

I think this is more of an issue of the browser configuration than OpenERP itself. It's likely that the browser you're using set PDF files as text, thus displayed in browser, instead of a PDF reader.

You can also check/compare the header of that PDF report with other reports that work correctly.

I also have the same problem.

I tested printing the General Ledger report (account -> reports -> official reports -> accounting reports -> General Ledger) from the opener accounting module (ver. 6.0.2) and it works correctly.

But my module developed in house (originally on a 5.0 platform), deployed on a 6.0.2 server gives the same display as above with a 6.0.2 web client. However with a 5.0.16 web client (6.0.2 server) it works correctly.

I already checked the content itself and it is correct.

The behavior I expected: you click on print and the browser starts downloading the pdf file instead of displaying the content as above.
