Permit pages to move between notebooks

Bug Description

I have a private and public notebook, and occasionally would like to move a page between the two without breaking links. That is, links in the old notebook to the page are turned into into interwiki links and any interwiki links within the page to the new notebook become normal links within the context of the new notebook. (Or perhaps interwiki links would continue to work in the latter case.)

How would the move be triggered? Drag&drop is an obvious one, but maybe users expect also a menu item or something for this ? Where would that fit in the interface ?

Changed in zim:
status: New → Confirmed
importance: Undecided → Wishlist

I was thinking drag&drop, as well as a notebook option in the "Move Page" dialog (from File).

Very interested in this feature as well. How about a plugin like "Notebook Manager" ?
Just as simple as 2 colums. On each column a different Notebook and the ability to copy / move from side to side.

Interlinking several associated zim books via InterWiki keyword would be a huge benefit. I didn't use this until now, still working with zim 0.60 (see also bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/zim/+bug/775562 ).

If this is going to come true then another consideration is:

Any MOVE / DELETE of pages within book A requires an update of the InterWiki links within book B pointing into the affected pages of book A.

And, talking about a list of many zim books any MOVE of pages would have to trigger an interwiki update within the the other books. This is expected to possibly give some performance issue.

If so, there could be a mapping of InterWiki-related books: Which books does really need InterWiki links to which other books. Thereafter any MOVE only would have to trigger a InterWiki update of just the zim books known to be correlated to this one.

In case the user adds InterWiki links pointing to other new books and forgets about updating the map of correlated zim books ... you get the idea.

Thanks,

    Andreas
