Bug Description

Apologies if this comes up twice - when i submitted the first time firefox couldn't connect to the server...

This is more of a wishlist item than a bug.

I generally use lots of small windows on my desktop (grid) as I use programs together and i find it difficult to use the global menu in this case as the contex is not always obvious and i have to move the mouse to the window then to the top.

On the other hand, having the menu integrated at the top when a window is maximised is awesome :D I really dig that.

You can already filter by the application, it would be super awesome to be able to do it by window state too.

The ideal setup for me would be to have global menu's for any active application that's maximised. So if firefox is maximised (often), then it should have a global menu, otherwise a local one. Empathy which is usually not maximised would then have local menu's unless i maximised the window.

Maximised = Global Menu,
Not Maximised = Local Menu

This make me very happy,
Keep up the great work, hope this finds its way in somewhere :)

Hi,
I'm not entirely sure that this is a duplicate of the other bug.

The other bug speaks of showing the global menu all the time.

This is more specifically aimed at an automatic switch between global and local menus.
This is a problem on big and/or extended displays. Any help/comments would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Richard
