Bug Description

Binary package hint: simple-scan

I have a professional scanner FUJITSU fi-4340Cd fully supported by sane (see http://www.sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html#Z-FUJITSU), but I'm unable to launch a scan through flatbed by clicking on "Scan". I unfortunately get a red message "Scan failed, unable to start the scan" (the message might change a little bit as I use a French version of Ubuntu).

My scanner is working fine with gscan2pdf, and I think that the issue is coming because it's an ADF scanner which doesn't support the options sent by "Simple scan".

I cannot set meaningful states in Ubuntu, so lets just track this in simple-scan.
I think next step should be a comment from Robert, I don't think any obvious information is missing...
