Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
I went into Ubuntu, asked it to update, which it did. But, when it restarted after updating, the book option for opening windows disappeared, leaving only the safe mode. Starting in that safe mode does not work, and apparently the NTFS file cannot be read. I get a message that says to restart in windows and use CHKDSK /f which I would do, if indeed, my computer let, which it doesn't. Now I can't even read that partition in Ubuntu.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about the development release at http:// www.ubuntu. com/testing/ .
