Bug Description

Binary package hint: man-db

I was trying to install texlive-latex-extras. But the first time it said that I did not have enough space in /var/cache/..., which was probably because I mounted /var on a somewhat small partition. I then decided to mount /var/cache on another partition (bigger) temporarily, not sure whether this might cause more problems that it would be worth. The package then install successfully up until the whole man-db thing, but then I unmounted that other partition from /var/cache, and redid 'sudo apt-get install texlive-latex-extras' and this time it worked. I conject that the problem was caused by the fact that I remounted /var/cache on an empty partition, rather than where it might otherwise have been, but I am not honestly knowledgeable enough to confirm or refute that hypothesis.
