Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
Characters like 'á', 'é', 'í', 'ó', 'ú' are not supported by the unity launcher (can't type them, is a combination of two keystrokes) and makes it annoying to use, cos the matching results in the applications suggestions are matched directly.
My keyboard configuration is fine and those particular characters are typed in two keystrokes: the accent character (') followed by 'a', 'e', 'i', 'o', 'u'. All characters that are tow keystrokes are entered in the launcher as 'i instead of í. And happens in all accent types.
For example: I'm trying to enter the "Software Sources " application translated as "Orígenes de Software" in my language (Spanish). So I type in the launcher: "Or'igenes" when I meant to type "Orígenes"
