Bug Description

Binary package hint: gitk

gitk depends on tk>=8.4 which should include tk8.4 and tk8.5.
If only tk8.5 is installed the package is broken.
I tested gitk with tk8.5 and it worked fine.
Also in it's source code there are references to both versions.
The problem is in ubuntu and debian, several releases including ubuntu 11.04.

tk is a metapackage which depends on the Debian default version of tk, which is currently tk8.4, but will be bumped to tk8.5 as soon as tk is synced into oneiric.

A workaround until then is to install both tk8.4 and tk8.5, and run ‘sudo update-alternatives --config wish’.
