unity freezes at startup

After (several) installing Ubuntu 11.04 (32bit as well as 64bit) ubuntu freezes after one or two restarts at startup with unity. Restarting the system in recovery mode with low graphic driver and without unity, ubuntu runs well.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

For X freeze bugs on Intel, you need to collect the output of 'dmesg' and your /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state file. Both of these must be collected while the machine is locked up (e.g. by sshing into the sick machine over ethernet). Without this info we cannot diagnose the problem.
