Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

While the grid plugin is active on the "classic desktop", this problem is only in Unity.

When you drag a window all the way to the left, the orange preview reaches the top panel and the bottom of the screen; the right edge of the preview reaches half way across the screen.

When you drag a window all the way to the top, the orange preview fills the entire screen, except for the panel.

But, when you drag a window all the way to the right, the orange preview window falls slightly short; it doesn't quite go from the panel to the bottom of the screen. It also doesn't quite reach the middle of the screen.

P.S. This is a minor bug

I think I know why this is. In Unity, there seems to be a 1-pixel gap at the right and bottom of the screen that the pointer cannot pass into. When you drag a window to the right (or indeed bottom, if you have it enabled to do something) of the screen, there is one pixel that is "missing" and is not considered in the animation, so the animation doesn't complete. This pixel border also affects other things: http://askubuntu.com/questions/38386/unity-1-pixel-border-affects-compiz-button-binding-shortcuts

I'm not able to reproduce this in 12.04. I'm going to mark it as fixed, but please feel free to reopen it if you still suffer from it.
