Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

When I'm trying to compose some character with the right superkey, it doesn't work anymore. I tried to configure other key and it's working fine with them.

Since Natty, when I'm pressing this key, I'm loosing the focus on input forms but nothing else happens.

Try shift + Right Super.

This is, of course, still a bug :)

Thanks ,

even if it's still a bug, this tip is really useful!

I have the same problem. Thanks for the tip, about shift + Right Super, but the method only works for some characters, such as ä, ö, ü, and not for german s-z (compose-s + s). But at least I've got Umlauts now! Thanks!

You mean this letter: " ß "?
Because on my case it works fine. But I don't have an "out of the box" configuration because I had some problems as well to compose few letter, like " ć " and I changed the configuration list by adding this in my .profile:
export GTK_IM_MODULE="xim"

And now everything is working fine, except that I've to used shift + right super.

Hi, and thanks for your help!
I've realised the reason the shift-compose trick didn't work for me before: I've been using it the wrong way. Before natty, I used to hold the Compose key down while pressing the first of the other keys, ie (compose+s),s to do the ß. I guess I now have to press them sequentially (and use the shift-compose trick), and I can write viele Grüße & merçi!
