poor video performance in ubuntu 11.04 with ati

System Detail:
OS: ubuntu 11.04
Graphics card: ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4500
Driver: ATi drivers installed from Jockey-gtk
Laptop: DELL

Playing Video in any player seems like audio is coming first and then video. Also the video play back is not smooth. I have not faced the issue with the 10.10. This is happening with both the Unity and Gnome classic environment.

I still see there is lag in window switching while typing "Alt+Tab"...
It takes some time to show up the small application windows where we change to the application.
Is it the default behavior of Ubuntu 11.04?
