Bug Description
Binary package hint: gksu
When running an application with gksu, the password is only asked once, no retries in case of an error. This seems to be a regression, see bug #34467 - Fix released.
Currently, in an up-to-date natty install, when entering an incorrect password in the gksu prompt, the prompt disappears, and nothing happens. The prompt should show an error message and allow retrying, or canceling the prompt -> canceling means the application will not start, entering a correct pass will start the application.
An interesting thing is that running from the terminal gives the following output (please note that I have been asked for the password only once, and entered a wrong password, still it says that there were 3 incorrect attempts, and there were no visible error messages on the interface, only in terminal):
GNOME_SUDO_PASS
Sorry, try again.
GNOME_SUDO_PASS
GNOME_SUDO_PASS
Sorry, try again.
sudo: 3 incorrect password attempts
