Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

I plugged my mp3 player in Natty and Banshee nor Rhythmbox see it.

Could you post the output of "lsusb" with the device plugged in, please?

Sorry about that I didn't know that command. I have here both my MP3 player plugged in on (Novatek Microelectronics Corp. ) and my IPod shuffle neither are recognized in Banshee. Not only Banshee but also most other music libraries as well such as Rhythmbox. Hope this helps better

Please could you also install the mtp-tools package and then run in a terminal "mtp-detect" and attach all the output information in a separated file? Thank you

I uninstall ubuntu, but I just livecd it and when I put mtp-tools it worked. Here are the results of mtp-detect:

 mtp-detect
libmtp version: 1.0.6

I can't edit my comment. I wanted to add maybe that should be included as a suggest or dependency in future releases. Just a thought :)

you must have your mp3 player connected to your system while you are trying to run mtp-detect tool, please could you do that again?

Did it again and got the same result. MP4 player is plugged in
