Bug Description

The system periodically slows down /stops (simillar to the 10.10 kslowd problem (however with the new kernel there are no more kslow daemons) but the system is back to normal, if I turn off the wifi card. anyway the wifi itself looses the connection to the AP from time to time, and some times it is not able to connect back for long times, and it sees the device to be unavalilable.
Well actually I also experienced this under 10.10, but with 11.04 it got worse, the system not only slows down, but it is unable to use (that was an upgrade 10.10.) now I am dealing with a fresh install of 11.04 and this also have the behavior unfortunately.

During the opening of the bugreport, the system has been frozen again several times, the mouse and keyboard was unresponsive, the system then has been dropped from the wlan AP, and then it was reacting again for the inputs....
please help me to solve this issue, as my system is totally unusable with this problem.

Thanks and regards,

Krisztian Poos, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p linux <replace-with-bug-number>

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
