Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
I performed a fresh install of Natty, release version.
I installed Google Chrome stable the default, easy way: ie: from their website, downloaded the .deb, opened it, software center installed it. Everything seems fine.
I launch it, from applications-
I launch it, I right-click on launcher icon and select "Keep In Launcher". I quit chrome.
I launch chrome using the launcher icon. *Sometimes* chrome actually launches, sometimes it doesn't. Don't know what the pattern is there. Even when it does actually launch, the icon doesn't seem to know about it. It still keeps fading in and out as if expecting to be told, and eventually gives up. There's no arrow to the side indicating that it knows that app has an open window.
Basically if it's launched from the Applications popup or the main ubuntu popup and isn't already being Kept In Launcher, it works fine. It's only when you try to keep it in launcher that it's broken.
(NB: Didn't come up while I was running alpha as I was running chromium-svn from ppa and/or chrome-dev, and I don't recall this issue happening there.)

Resolved when I logged out and logged in again; presumably some state had got itself in a mess. :-) (So I suppose there's no reason why it can't recur?)
Before that logout/login was also experiencing same with Thunderbird.
