Synaptic main window menu bar is misplaced in UNITY

As shown by the attached screenshot, the menu bar is always visible and is not integrated in the UNITY menu.

Some applications' menu bars aren't coded to be integrated with Unity yet. For example: the LibreOffice suite.

This probably hasn't been integrated into Synaptic because it's used on so many other distributions that do not include Unity (Debian, for example).

That's just speculation, though. I can't say that's exactly why it hasn't been implemented yet.

This is not specific to synaptic, but to applications run with sudo, as these do not integrate with the global menu. See bug #592842 for more details.
